Jim was invited to speak at the investiture ceremony of United States District Judge Jeffrey P. Hopkins (Southern District of Ohio) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Judge Hopkins and Jim worked together at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs LLP), early in their careers.
The United States Senate confirmed Judge Hopkins on December 8, 2022, and President Biden signed his commission on December 16, 2022. Judge Hopkins previously served as the Chief Judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
